AKU NO HANA

WHAT’S UP: The Aku No Hana Music Festival, an event that focuses on gritty, punk rock music and arts need an informative poster and invitation.

DRAFTS: Like music, nature is a universal thing that brings people together. I wanted to incorporate aspects of nature mixed in with a punk rock aesthetic to capture the identity of this music festival.

FIRST ITERATIONS: Using a simple off-white and blood-red color scheme, I decided to work with a snake and a creepy eye-centered rose flower.

FINAL: After adjusting the informative aspects of the poster + invitation card to be more eligible, I also cranked up the black to make it almost ink-like. I also found playing with the repetition of the flowers and the snake’s body was fun.
